Blackburn pair suspected of lead theft

FIREFIGHTERS were called to help police arrest two suspected lead thieves at a dilapidated Blackburn mansion.
Crews cut through several padlocks to help police officers gain access to the now empty Griffin Lodge in Cavendish Place, at 11am on Monday.
They used their ladders to access another set of ladders that suspected thieves had used to access the roof space.
Two men were arrested.
