2:42pm Monday 1st October 2012 in News
A WOMAN had to be cut free from a car following a two-vehicle collision on the M65, near Feniscowles, early yesterday.
Police, fire and ambulance crews attended the accident, between junctions 2 and 3, at around 2.30am.
Watch manager Steve Boyne, from Bamber Bridge Fire Station, said: “There were two vehicles involved. The main car involved that we had to release casualties from was a white Vauxhall Astra.
“One car had been hit and left the main carriageway travelling eastbound, and bounced off a fence, and rested on the hard shoulder.
“One male occupant, who was the driver, was out of the car when we arrived. He had cuts to his hand, but did not require hospital treatment.
“The female had suspected chest and back injuries, and we assisted the ambulance service to lift her out of the vehicle.
“She was taken to hospital for treatment.
“The other car had impact damage, but there were no casualties.
“Police were already in attendance.”
