Shed raiders snatch tackle worth £1,000

FISHING rods and tackle worth £1,000 have been stolen from a Whalley shed.

The theft happened overnight last Friday when a garden shed in Queen Mary Terrace was broken into.

Sgt Peter Moore said: “It was locked up in the shed and they have unscrewed the padlock.

“The fishing rod and tackle were in a Catch Carp green case.”

Anybody with information is asked to call 101 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555111.
