A CCTV image has been released by police investigating five robberies carried out across East Lancashire.
Officers said they believe the crimes were all linked.
The five raids were carried out in Accrington, Great Harwood, Padiham and Burnley.
All of the incidents saw victims targeted walking down the street and robbed, sometimes at knifepoint.
Police said they want to speak to the man in the CCTV as a witness.
Detective Inspector Marie Haworth said, “I am very keen to stress that we do not believe that this man is involved in anyway but we do think he could have information that could assist us and so we would urge him to come forward and contact us.”
The incidents happened within 90-minutes late on Sunday, September 2, and Monday, September 3.
The first attack happened at 11.10pm in Cambridge Street, Accrington. There were then incidents in Hyndburn Road, Great Harwood, Burnley Road, Padiham, Lakeland Way, Padiham, and Kiddrow Lane, Padiham.
On all occasions pedestrians were threatened by two hooded men before items including cash and mobile phones were stolen.
Anyone with information can contact police by calling the new non-emergency number 101. Information can also be passed via Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
