East Lancashire women urged to ’wear it pink’ for the Breast Cancer Campaign
12:13pm Wednesday 19th September 2012 in News
EAST Lancashire women are being urged to ‘wear it pink’ on Friday, October 26, in aid of the Breast Cancer Campaign.
Last year, hundreds of thousands of supporters from across the UK, and Ireland, pulled on something pink and raised more than £2.2million to fund research into breast cancer.
Rebecca Stone, senior ‘wear it pink’ manager, said: “Sadly, one in eight women will face their own battle against breast cancer in their lifetime.
“That’s why we need everyone to join in this year, wear it pink, and raise as much as possible – because together we have the power to be part of the cure.”
