Open day at North West Ambulance Service HQ
12:12pm Wednesday 19th September 2012 in News
THE North West Ambulance Service (NWAS) is hosting its annual general meeting, and open day, tomorrow.
The day will begin at 1pm with the trust’s AGM, followed by the open event, which will begin at 2pm and finish at 4.15pm.
The open day is a free event, open to the public, and will feature a wide range of information stalls, and practical demonstrations.
Members of the trust’s Community Resuscitation Team (CRT), and local Community First Responders (CFRs), will be present to talk through with guests what happens in a real-life emergency situation, from the arrival of a CFR, to the arrival of the paramedic crew.
Interactive displays, including a reconstruction of a patient experiencing a heart attack, will also be demonstrated.
The event will take place at trust headquarters, at Ladybridge Hall, Chorley New Road, Bolton.
