Discounts for East Lancashire's young ‘learners on the job’
2:59pm Wednesday 12th September 2012 in News
TEENAGERS learning ‘on the job’ across East Lancashire are being urged to take advantage of a discount card by a training provider.
Hundreds have already signed up for the Apprentice Extra Card, which is available to member companies of the Group Training Association (GTA).
And Training 2000, which has major bases in Blackburn and Nelson, is urging more to enrol for the GTA money-saving scheme. Major players such as Top Shop and Apple and online retailers such as Amazon and Play.com recognise the cards.
Steve Gray, Training 2000 chief executive, said: “Not only does the Apprentice Extra provide financial benefit, it also puts apprentices on a level playing field with students.”
“It’s a great initiative for apprentices to get involved in and we are delighted to be one of only eight GTAs in the North West to offer the card.”
