The canoe found in the River Ribble today
SEARCH teams from the police, fire, coastguard and mountain rescue are continuing to explore the River Ribble this afternoon after an upturned canoe was found.
Officers are appealing for anyone with information about the blue canoe, which was found near Penwortham at 1.30pm, to come forward.
A Lancashire police spokeswoman said: “We are searching the area to ensure there is no one with the canoe who needs assistance.”
