Hyndburn man arrested after £12k drug farm raid

A CANNABIS farm, thought to be worth around £12,500, has been found in Clayton-le-Moors.

Officers from the neighbourhood policing team found 31 cannabis plants after raiding an address in York Close. The raid, on June 14, was carried out as a result of receiving community intelligence.

Community Beat Manager PC Paul Pountain said: “This was the third drugs warrant executed in June by the Clayton-le-Moors and Altham Neighbourhood Policing Team.

“We are determined to act on information from members of the public to remove drugs from our communities. I would encourage anyone who has any information about drugs to contact us, either anonymously, or by speaking to us in person.”

A 32-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of producing cannabis and has been released on police bail until July 30 pending further enquiries. Anyone with information about drug cultivation in their area should call police on 101, or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
