Clitheroe man admits assault on 16-year-old boy

A 26-year-old Clitheroe man approached a teenager in the street and after saying ‘All right mate?’ punched him in the face.

Blackburn magistrates heard that minutes later Craig Robert Fairhurst falsely accused another teenager of stealing his mobile phone and then chased him into a nearby takeaway. The terrified boy held the door shut as Fairhurst tried to force it open and then smashed a pane of glass in the door.

Fairhurst, of Mitchell Street, Clitheroe, pleaded guilty to assaulting the 16-year-old and criminal damage to the takeaway window. He was made subject to community supervision for 12 months and must pay £100 compensation.

£100 to who, the shop keeper, the 16y/o or the courts?
One can only hope that now his name is out there someone will do the same to him, only twice as hard!

I think we should bring back good old disemboweling or perhaps revive the ducking stool in Clitheroe?
