Traffic was temporarily brought to a halt after two cars collided on the M65.
No injuries were reported but motorway police had to recover the two vehicles between junction six at Whitebirk and junction seven at Rishton travelling eastbound towards Burnley.
Traffic flow was stopped while the red Ford Ka, which hit the central reservation, was removed at around 5.50pm yesterday.
Sergeant Sean Cunningham, from the motorway policing unit, said: “We had a minor two vehicle damage-only collision. We brought the traffic to a halt while we recovered the vehicle.”
