A PERSON has been taken to hospital following a three-car smash last night.
A silver Peugeot and grey Vauxhall Astra were involved in the incident which involved a lamppost on New Road in Burnley.
Police and emergency services attended the scene and treated two people for injuries.
One person was taken to Royal Blackburn Hospital.
The road was closed while Highways England made the area safe.
A spokesperson for Lancashire Police said: "We received a call at 7.20pm with reports of a crash on New Road in Burnley.
"One of the drivers has a suspected wrist injury and another was thought to be suffering with chest injuries.
"Highways attended to clear the scene as oil has been spilt out on to the road."
