PEOPLE interested in film and media are being invited to take part in a video project reflecting the lives and daily actions of ordinary people.

FilmBee, an artist led film co-operative, is looking for eight to 10 people to be involved.

A spokesman said: "You will create a video portrait which will highlight something that is so mundane as to be almost invisible.

"Something we’ve seen so often that we forget to think about it. Making coffee in the morning, rolling a cigarette, putting on socks, separating the recycling, fixing a bike chain… we are surrounded by literally thousands of things on a daily basis that seem unremarkable."

The selected participants will work in pairs as both directors and subjects, shooting three or four unique portraits which will be shown in a live performance and exhibition on November 30 at Holy Trinity Church in Blackburn.

The workshops will take place on October 31 and November 1 between 10am and 4pm at The Bureau Centre for the Arts in Victoria Street.

Participants must be between 13 and 40 years old and do not need to be actors or filmmakers just interested in film and media.
