A JEALOUS boyfriend assaulted his partner after she exposed her breasts in Blackburn town centre — following a row over explicit 'selfies' on the thug's phone.

The pair had been shopping in Blackburn and then gone swimming before a row broke over his mobile phone.

Blackburn magistrates heard the victim had discovered 'saucy selfies' of her boyfriend Aaron Titterington on his phone and challenged him about them.

She accused him of cheating on her and the couple argued, the court was told.

She told him that if he could 'show his bits' she could show hers and pulled her top down in Blackburn town centre revealing her breasts.

Titterington grabbed the victim, pushed her and attempted to cover her up, but ripped her top in the process.

The 23-year-old, of Rockliffe Street, Blackburn, pleaded guilty to assault.

He was remanded on bail for the preparation of a pre-sentence report.

Parveen Akhtar, prosecuting, said: "She saw something on his phone which made her think she had been cheating on him.

"During the row that followed he pushed her and ripped her top."

Janice Vallance, defending, said: "The victim had seen some explicit photographs on his phone and told him if he could expose his bits she could do the same.

"She pulled her top down in the town centre and he grabbed her and tried to cover her up.

"In the course of what followed the top ripped and he accepts that he pushed her."
