COMEDIAN Peter Kay is to bring his Dance for Life show to Manchester for the first time at Easter.

He will take over Manchester Central for three nights and act as DJ for the three hour dance-a-thons which will raise money for Cancer Research.

The venue will be transformed into a giant dance floor with state of the art sound and lights with Peter Kay behind the decks.

Peter said: "I’ve honestly never had so much fun as I had working on Dance For Life. The atmosphere was so happy and positive; it really is a great way to raise money for the worthiest of causes. All people have to do is turn up and dance.

“I’d also like to encourage people to get themselves sponsored via JustGiving.com where a special Dance For Life team page has been set up”

Caro Evans, director of partnerships at Cancer Research UK, said “We are so grateful to Peter for hosting his epic Dance For Life events to raise money, we need as many people as possible to join Peter and help take cancer out by dancing the night away. The money that is raised from the events will fund vital research so that we can save more lives, more quickly”

Dance for Life will be at Manchester Central on Good Friday, March 30; Saturday, March 31 and Easter Monday, April 1. Tickets priced £28.50 each go on sale at 9am tomorrow from www.gigsandtours.com and www.ticketmaster.co.uk
