TWO schools have been told they continue to be 'good' following short inspections.
Barnoldswick CE Controlled Primary School and Holy Trinity RC Primary School in Brierfield were both praised after Ofsted reviews last month.
In a letter to Barnoldswick headteacher Michelle Ellis, inspector Allan Torr said the leadership team at the Kelbrook Road school has improved upon the good quality of education since the last visit.
He said: "The new school site is extensive, spacious and you have taken actions that have improved the environment further, particularly for the early years children.
"The school was asked at the last inspection to improve the achievement of the most able pupils. This work has been successful.
"Most-able pupils, including the disadvantaged, now make good progress in English and mathematics from their starting points.
"The next step for the school is to make sure that all pupils, particularly the most able, achieve well in history and geography."
He added pupils are positive and feel safe while safeguarding is 'high profile'.
Inspector Tim Vaughan said the good quality of education is being maintained at Holy Trinity in Halifax Road.
He said: "Pupils flourish at Holy Trinity. They attain well and become self-confident, articulate citizens. Staff place great emphasis on developing pupils’ emotions and their communication skills.
"Since the previous inspection, leaders have improved the teaching of pupils, including for the most able."
