AN Accrington charity is set hold a special event to commemorate its hard work over the past five years.

Ynot Aspire is holding a celebration and consultation evening on Thursday, March 30, to look back at the success it has had and look to what the future will hold.

It will also be consulting with partner agency’s and young people in the event at Accrington Town Hall.

The charity which works to help vulnerable youths in Hyndburn was awarded £481,000 from The Big Lottery in November to support their work going forward.

It has just come to the end of its current set of funding, after they received £385,000 in January 2012.

Former professional footballer Clark Carlisle will be giving a speech on the day at 1.30pm.

Sharon Burch, chief officer, said ‘We have always put young people at the heart of everything we do and we believe that this is key to our success in helping them to achieve positive outcomes.”
