Blackburn magistrates heard the burglary was committed just three days after Mark Pearson was released from prison having served a sentence for burglary.

Eddie Harrison, prosecuting, said the victim had already been burgled in July. He went out on July 25 and when he got home found a window had been forced and his home burgled again.

Gareth Price, defending, said on his release from prison Pearson had problems with accommodation and general support. “The burglary wasn’t his idea but he fell in with someone else,” said Mr Price.
