A CARAVAN park receptionist who rifled through residents’ mail and stole more than £6,000 through a series of thefts and frauds has been jailed for 10 months.

One grieving widow told Lancashire Police how Samantha Dicicco had provided friendship and support after her husband’s death, Burnley Crown Court heard.

Son jailed after running drug dealing operation with his mum in Darwen

A MOTHER-AND-SON cannabis dealing operation ran from a home in Darwen has ended in a prison sentence for one of them.

When police raided a home in Hazel Avenue, in November 2014, they found a bag filled with cannabis bush belonging to Dominic McKenna, Burnley Crown Court was told.

Car thief stole Land Rover using set of master keys in Burnley

A CAR thief who stole a Land Rover in East Lancashire using a set of master keys has been jailed for 10 months.

Police pulled over a Land Rover in Rishton as it matched the description of a vehicle taken outside a home in Burnley. Alan Beck, 20, a disqualified driver, swapped places with passenger Lewis Creighton after parking up, Burnley Crown Court heard.

Jealous man stole ex-partner’s dog days after being released from prison

A JEALOUS man who stole his ex-partner’s Staffordshire bull terrier, just days after being released from prison for terrorising her, has been jailed for five years.

Victim Julie Lewis even saw her tormentor walking her dog, called Storm, down the street, while driving home from Burnley town centre with her son, the town’s crown court was told.

Worker stole half a million pounds worth of electric cable from Blackburn firm

Lancashire Telegraph:

A MAN who weighed in almost half a million pounds worth of electric cable, stolen from his employer, has been jailed for 21 months.

Royston Bruce, 46, used his position as a driver for HSL Group Ltd in Blackburn to take the stolen metal to the recycling plant where he traded it in for cash.
