Harvey, 25, of Towngate, Great Harwood, pleaded guilty to assaulting Casey Riley. She was fined £350 and ordered to pay £100 compensation, £150 criminal court charge, £100 costs and £35 victim surcharge.

Hilary Reece, prosecuting, said the victim was at home with her 12-week-old baby and five-year-old daughter. She put the baby to bed and was upstairs when she heard a knock at the door. She looked out of the window and saw Harvey and the sister of Miss Riley’s ex-boyfriend.

“She eventually went down and opened the door and the two women pushed passed her,” said Mrs Reece. “They started shouting, claiming she sent text messages to her ex-partner’s mum about his drink and drug abuse. She said she hadn’t but was dragged to the floor and assaulted.”

Harvey said she had not been in trouble for six years and it had been a stupid thing to do.
