THIEVES moved a tractor to steal a £2,000 quad bike from a barn in Rishton.

Police have issued a witness appeal following the theft which happened on a farm off Cowhill Lane, Rishton, between 6pm yesterday and 9.30am this morning.

No arrests have so far been made and there are no suspect descriptions.

The red Suzuki quad bike has the registration number PO14 JVL.

PC Tony Walsh, of Ribble Valley Police, said: "If you have any information concerning the persons responsible or involved in this offence or the whereabouts of the stolen Suzuki quad bike connected with this crime, please ring Lancs police on 101. You can do this anonymously, without having to pass on your details.

"Alternatively, if you don't want to speak directly to the police you can ring Crimestoppers, anonymously, on 0800 555 111. No personal details are taken, information is not traced and you will not be required to go to court."
