A BUILDING firm based in Baxenden is set to close down after hitting financial difficulties.
FHD Building Contractors, of Manchester Road, appointed liquidators and called a meeting with creditors after bosses said the business should be wound up voluntarily.

Last month, a special resolution was passed which read: “It has been proved… the company cannot by reason of its liabilities continue its business.”
The private limited firm had been incorporated in April 2011, with David Rispin appointed as director.
Its website was down yesterday.
