A POCKET watch of “great sentimental value” and a football medal were among the items stolen from a pensioner’s home after it was burgled.
Police are appealing for information after the 72-year-old man’s house was broken into in Accrington on the evening of Sunday, January 11.

The incident in Ashworth Street happened between 5.15pm and 7.45pm when an offender broke into the terraced house by smashing a window at the back of the property, police said.
A black Compaq laptop computer, a gold pocket watch and a football medal were taken in the raid.
The Waltham pocket watch has been described by officers as gold plated, with the glass face cover missing and a double Albert chain.
The watch also has a football medal attached to it in the name of F.R.Ratcliffe.
