POLICE have warned homeowners to be vigilant after burglaries in Accrington and Blackburn over the weekend.
A house was targeted in Spring Street, Accrington, between 11pm on Friday and 6am Saturday.
A 32GB iPad Mini and an iPhone 3 were taken after a thief gained access to the home through an unlocked front door.
Duty Inspector Conrad Tapp appealed for anyone who was offered the iPad, which has the serial number F4KJV96MF19K, for sale, to contact 101.
Another house, in Lindisfarne Avenue, Blackburn, was targeted between 11.45pm on Friday and 6am Saturday.
In this incident, the thief forced entry through a kitchen window and stole some loose change and a metal window lock.
Inspector Tapp said: “My message to people would be to reiterate to residents the need to secure their properties to prevent this sort of thing from happening again.”
