POLICE are growing increasingly concerned about the welfare of an elderly man who has gone missing from his home address in Whitworth.
John Archibald, 73, was last seen at Toncliffe Road, Whitworth last night (Wednesday, 6 August) and it is believed that he has gone missing sometime overnight.
He is described as a white male, 5ft 6 tall, of a slim build with grey, slightly balding hair.
It is unknown what he was wearing at the time he went missing, but it is thought that he could be wearing a black fleece, brown trousers and black shoes.
Sergeant Steven Hilton of Burnley Police, said: “We are growing increasing concerned about the whereabouts of John and we would urge anyone who may have seen him to get in touch.
“John is vulnerable due to age-related health issues and he may appear confused. Anyone with information should contact police on 101 quoting log number LC-20140807-0232.”
