A SERIES of walks led by the RSPB aimed at revealing the moorland wildlife at the United Utilities Bowland Estate is set to continue on Friday.

The walk will be led by Jude Lane from the bird charity, with others being held on June 7, June 27 and July 4.

The United Utilities Bowland Estate used to be England’s stronghold for hen harriers but the birds are now so rare they have not bred at the location for the past two seasons.

All of the walks are five miles long and begin at 9.30am.

Tickets cost £5 and need to be booked in advance by contacting Fariha Quraishi on 01524 581001 or at fariha.quraishi@rspb.org.uk.

All money raised will be put directly back into the conservation of hen harriers in Northern England.
