AN Oswaldtwistle teenager is through to the area final of one of the UK’s biggest singing competitions.
Callum Thomas will take to the stage at the Royal Northern College of Music, in Manchester, on Sunday, in a bid to reach the national final of ‘Teenstar’, at London’s O2 arena.
The 17-year-old will perform his own song, Paralysed, while playing keyboards in front of 600 people.
The St Christopher’s Sixth Form student has been singing his whole life, but only began playing the piano, and writing his own songs, just more than two years ago.
He will also be playing locally, at Reidy’s Home of Music, in Nab Lane, Blackburn, from 3.30pm on Sunday, May 25; and at the Heys Inn, in Stone Bridge Lane, Oswaldtwistle, from 8.30pm, on Saturday, June 14.
