TWO dogs were seized by police and council officers in Accrington.
A warrant was executed in Stevenson Street East on Monday afternoon.
A police spokesman said the dogs were suspected of being a banned breed under the Dangerous Dogs Act.
In the UK, it is against the law to own certain types of dog, including pit bull terriers, Japanese tosas, dogo Argentinos, and fila Braziliero.
It is also illegal to sell, abandon, give away, or breed from a banned dog.
Tests will be carried out to determine the dogs’ breed.
