A CLOSED Clitheroe town centre pub could reopen as a retail business if plans are approved later this year.
The Victoria Pub has stood empty and boarded up since December 2011 after its licence was revoked by Ribble Valley Borough Council.
The pub lost its licence after police received complaints about underage drinking at the premises.
Police were told children as young as 15 were being served with alcohol and officers visited the pub on several occasions and found children drinking vodka and lager.
Since then the business has been sold by Enterprise Inns and new owner Trevor Wildman from Pendleton has applied to the borough council to change the use of the property for one year.
The application is due to be discussed by the council in the next few months.
