AN ELECTRICAL fault on over head power lines in Chorley has left 950 homes without electricity.

Homes have been in darkness since the fault was first reported to Electricity North West at 3.55 this afternoon.

The power cut is thought to be mostly affecting homes around Whalley Road and Preston New Road as well as Botany Bay.

A spokeswoman from Electricity North West said: “Our engineers are on site and are hoping to repair the fault and restore power as soon as possible.”
