Lancashire County Council job losses will ‘devastate’ services

LEADERS of public service union Unison have warned of the ‘devastating’ effect of 2,500 job losses at Lancashire County Council on services.

Unison will lobby the county council meeting on February 20 at County Hall Preston. Lancashire branch secretary Elaine Cotterell said: “ThIs round of cuts will have a devastating effect on the local economy and the people of Lancashire who we serve.”

Well, they could save money by cutting some of those top salaries.

Burnley council is also losing staff but you still have a Chief exec on £150,000 with all his expenses and directors like Cartlidge on £90,000 and what exactly do they do that the people paid £20,000 & £30,000 can't do?
