Cracoe and Rylstone Primary School pupils have been working with local artist Rachel Errington to design and make their own silk painted banners to display around school.
The aim was to create some attractive and inspiring artwork to illustrate the school’s Christian values and to teach the pupils new art techniques.
Headteacher Andrea Walker said: “The whole school is thrilled with the pupils’ results and are sure that everyone who sees the new banners on display will be inspired by them too.
“It’s been a great way of combining art and design work with developing deeper understanding of our values.”
The project was funded by the Upper Wharfedale Extended Schools’ fund.
