A CCTV image of a man wanted in connection with an assault in a Blackburn takeaway has been released.

Police believe the man could hold clues to an assault outside Tasty Pizza on Blakey Moor on December 1 in which a 32-year-old victim sustained a fractured cheekbone.

Detectives are now urging the man in the purple jumper to come forward.

DS Adrian McHugh, of Blackburn CID, said: “I appeal to anyone who recognises this man to come forward and contact police. I also urge the man to contact police himself to help us to piece together what happened that night.”

Anyone with information should call police on 101.
