DETECTIVES are investigating four burglaries that took place with a three hour period.
Officers from Blackburn’s Target Team are appealing for information after thieves tried to strike at properties in Queens Road, Buncer Lane and Pringle Street, all Blackburn before finally breaking into a house in Pole Lane, Darwen.
The gang, thought to be Eastern European have unsuccessfully tried to remove windows to break into the houses.
At the Pole Lane address thieves stole several hundreds of pounds worth of jewellery.
The incidents took place on February 20 between 11am and 2pm.
DS Eric Halford said: “I appeal to anyone who has noticed a gang of men acting suspiciously in their area to come forward and contact police. We have some intelligence that leads us to think these men are from Manchester but we are unsure if they are using a vehicle.”
Anyone with information should call police on 101.
