Driver cut free from car after accident near Junction 9 on M65

TWO people were taken to hospital complaining of neck and back pain after a  car rolled over on the M65 last night.

Firefighters cut the roof off a Toyota Avensis to get the female driver, thought to be in her early 30s, out of the vehicle.

A number of other vehicles had to swerve to avoid debris and pulled over on to the hard shoulder near Junction 9 on the westbound carriageway.

Ambulances were called to the scene at 7.30pm yesterday and took the woman and another passenger to hospital.
