BAE steps up production of Hawk jet after Saudi deal

BAE has reinstated the production line for the Hawk Advanced Jet Trainer at Warton.
It comes in response to orders for a further 30 new aircraft, 22 for the Royal Saudi Air Force and 8 for the Sultanate of Oman.
The Hawk programme sustains some 1000 jobs at BAE Systems and more throughout the supply chain.
It will safeguard 1,000 jobs with wings and some electrical parts made in Samlesbury and other parts made in Brough, Yorkshire.
In Samlesbury, near Preston and other parts being made in Brough, Yorkshire.
