Blackburn to host short film festival

AN international festival of short films has been travelling the globe from Tokyo, Cairo and London and comes to Blackburn this week.

The town’s Central Library joins the long list of venues around the world to have played host to the event on Wednesday. The Future Shorts Film Festival takes place in more than 50 venues in 17 countries.

It showcases the best in international short films.

Organised by Blackburn with Darwen and community arts group, Action Factory, the showing is a rare opportunity to sample the work of some of the best directors around the world.

The programme features seven short films and has been certified as 15 and will open at 6.30pm for its Blackburn screening. Admission is £5.
