Darwen bollard crash driver hunted

A DRIVER crashed his car into a bollard, locked it and left the scene in a taxi in the early hours.

Police said the man smashed a white Vauxhall Corsa into street furniture outside Springfield Flats in Bolton Road, Darwen, just before 2am yesterday.

Police said a bollard and street signage had been ‘taken out’ but the road was not left blocked.

The man was seen by witnesses flagging down a taxi and leaving the scene, but only after he had locked the vehicle.

The car was later recovered and police were yesterday trying to track down the driver.

So i presume it is not registered at the correct address. When traced i hope they are prosecuted for this and everything else possible.
