Darwen fell runners ready for late night
3:36pm Monday 7th January 2013 in News
A NIGH-TIME fell race is being organised by the Darwen Dashers group.
The five-mile challenge, which will take place on February 22 at 7.30pm, is limited to 75 places and runners can expect a couple of stiff climbs, open moorland, mud and a dash down to the finish.
Full body cover must be carried and a headtorch must be used.
The course will be marshalled and marked but entrants should be competant navigators.
The race will start at the Royal Hotel, in Tockholes, and it is suggested that those taking part use the carpark next to the pub.
A donation will be made to the Bolton Mountain Rescue team from the funds raised.
Entry costs £5 and those considering taking part should fill out the form on the group’s website.
See www.dashers.org.uk for more information.
