Poorly East Lancashire children get party treat at No 10

Lancashire Telegraph: Children enjoy the party Children enjoy the party

TERMINALLY-ill youngsters from across the North West have celebrated Christmas in style with a party at Downing Street.

The children from hospices in the North West, along with their parents and carers, were invited to London thanks to an East Lancashire businessman’s links with the Conservative Party.

Prime Minister David Cameron and his wife Samantha asked Kevin Horkin, the deputy mayor of the Ribble Valley and owner of several retail stores in Clitheroe and Accrington, if he would help to organise for children to make the trip to Number 10.

Mr Horkin, said: “I was delighted to help and the children, their families and their carers had a marvellous time at Number 10. It was a super party and a truly unforgettable experience for all the children.”

Why has he done that I wonder? Not through kindness but just to be recognised as being kind, yeh yeh, how many of these poor family's are going to suffer next year when he cuts there benefits , not to mention the children suffering, when the parents have to struggle with looking after them, heating costs, petrol costs to get them to hospital appointments etc etc, one selfish man he is, when his little boy died a few yrs ago I really thought he would help the disabled more, but hey guess what, as we all know he's just cut there benefits and made them suffer, shame on you Cameron shame on you
