Darwen factory hosts carol concert

HERBERT Parkinson, the Darwen-based manufacturing arm of John Lewis, is to host a Christmas carol concert at Darwen Aldridge Community Academy on Friday.
Money raised will go to Blackburn homeless charity Nightsafe - the firm’s charity of the year.
Blackburn and Darwen Brass Band will accompany the singing. The event is from 7pm and tickets cost £5 from the charity at The Boulevard Centre, Railway Road, Blackburn, or from Debbie Hall at Herbert Parkinson in Monton Road. Call 01254 778825.
