Rossendale school governor is honoured for dedication

THE CHAIR of governors at a Rossendale school has been recognised for his dedication by a top education body.
John Davey will be presented with an appreciation award by the Lancashire Association of School Governing Bodies at its annual conference next May.
Mr Davey has served as a governor at Haslingden High School for 23 years and been chair for the past five.
He said: “I am very honoured. This award recognises people who go the extra mile and do things above and beyond."
