LANCASHIRE’s police horses now have their own Facebook page.
Residents can keep up to date with the Mounted Branch and their equine colleagues out on patrol.
Given the popularity of the animals, officers are hoping the page will establish many followers.
PC Adam Pearson, from Lancashire Police’s Mounted Branch, said: “The police horses get involved in policing a wide range of situations, from football to protests, parades specialist operations and I’m sure people will be very interested to find out more about our work within the community.”
There will be a live webchat tomorrow on the page, www.facebook.com/Lancs policehorses, during which PC Pearson will be available to answer questions about the constabulary’s 19 horses.
