THE owners of two dogs that were found stuck in a quarry near Turton have been found.
The dogs, thought to be wire hair fox terriers, were spotted at Crowthorn Quarry by a pair of cyclists last week.
The two men got both dogs out, but one ran off while they dropped one off in the village.
RSPCA inspector Charlotte Booker said after the appeal in the Lancashire Telegraph the owners came forward.
She said: “They lived on a farm about 200 metres away from where the dogs were found and had only gone missing that morning.
“The dog that ran off just went back home but the owners have made enquiries about rehoming the other one.
“They said they can’t seem to stop them from running away.”
