Business spirit passed on at Darwen school
2:41pm Monday 12th November 2012 in News
DARWEN Aldridge Community Academy (DACA) will mark Global Entrpreneurship Week, from today.
The focus of this year’s event is ‘passing on’ practical help and support to start-up businesses and those looking to take their first steps into the business world.
The aim at DACA is to create a collaborative, local and practical week, enabling people to learn about the support available to entrepreneurs in Darwen. The activities range from an entrepreneurship competition to a business breakfast networking meeting.
Assistant principal for entrepreneurship and community Michelle Billington said: “We have invited members of the local business community to attend our business breakfast. Andrew Graham from Graham and Brown will give a key note speech and pass on his business knowledge while people enjoy breakfast and pass on practical help and support and more.”
