Darwen pub to be a 'Pink Palace'
12:59pm Wednesday 31st October 2012 in News
A DARWEN pub will be transformed into a ‘Pink Palace’ on Friday, November 23, all in the name of charity.
The Swan, in Bolton Road, is hosting the event to raise cash for Breast Cancer Care’s annual Pink Fridays.
Entertainment will come from singer Jackie Aspinall, and there will be a raffle, football cards, and an auction.
Landlord Matthew Worden said: “Join in the fun and show your support for this worthy cause by wearing something pink on the night.
“Since we opened, a select few have named us the pink palace, so we thought, fantastic, let’s use the name and do something positive.
“Cancer affects a lot of people and my family and customers alike have experienced it in some way.”
The event gets under way at 7.30pm.
