Blackburn son threw brick through his mother’s window
11:00pm Thursday 25th October 2012 in News
A WOMAN hid in terror in her own home for two hours because her 37-year-old son was hammering on her door.
Blackburn magistrates heard Jason Frederick Leaver was banned from having any contact with his mum by a restraining order imposed because of previous assaults on her.
And the court heard that when he finally gave up on getting into his mum’s house he threw a brick through her living room window.
Leaver, of Kinross Walk, Blackburn, pleaded guilty to breach of a restraining order and damaging a window.
He was remanded in custody for the preparation of a pre-sentence report.
Catherine Allan, prosecuting, said Leaver was sent to prison for assaulting his mother earlier this year.
A restraining order was made at the same time and he had already breached it once since his release.
“He now admits a further breach just a week after he was given a conditional discharge,” said Miss Allan.
Bernard Horne, defending, said on the day of the incident Leaver and his mum had spent most of the day drinking at her house.
He went out with a friend and when he returned she wouldn’t let him in. When they are not drinking they get on fine but when they have both been drinking this kind of situation arises,” said Mr Horne.
