Blackburn shop worker chases off hooded raiders

A TEENAGE shop worker chased off two hooded youths during an attempted break-in in Blackburn.
Entertainment Box owner John Jones, 47, said his 18-year-old son Gareth had gone next door for his lunch around 2pm on Saturday.
But he returned to find two yobs trying to ram the locked front door of the King Street business and gave chase.
Mr Jones said: “I was on my way into work and my son was watching the shop.
“Luckily he had locked the door, but they’ve still done damage and smashed a window.
"I can’t believe how blatant they were, trying this in the middle of town on the busiest day of the week.”
Mr Jones said town centre police are checking CCTV as the two hooded youths ran off towards the town centre.
