ARMED police were called out after reports of a gunman threatening a youth in Blackburn.
People in Whalley Old Road, Little Harwood, said up to four vans filled with officers turned up at around 7.10pm today.
Police said that they were told that a 14-year-old in the area had been threatened with a firearm.
Neighbours in the street said that anti social behaviour amonst youths was a problem but that they didn't know if that was connected to the incident.
One said: "There was a very strong reaction from the police but we don't yet know what happened."
Police confirmed that they had arrested a man in connection with the incident.
