A HUSBAND and wife licensee team are moving to a pub at the heart of a regeneration area.
John and Trisha Barnes, who have been at the Havelock Inn, Havelock Street, Blackburn, for the past five years, have moved to the Ivy Hotel, Infirmary Street, Blackburn.
The couple are moving to the Thwaites pub and are pinning their hopes on the regeneration of the Infirmary area.
Trisha said: "The Havelock is in a largely industrial area. We feel that with new people going to live in the infirmary area we can make a go of it.
"We hope to get people in the pub from homes being built."
They will continue the darts and pool teams that have been run at the Havelock.
